Today's situation in the stock market
At 9:22 am, the Sensex was trading 57 points higher at 85,582, and the Nifty was up 30 points at 26,205. Trent, NTPC, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, BEL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Asian Paints, SBI, Tata Steel, Eternal (Zomato), Power Grid, and Tata Steel were among the gainers in the Sensex pack. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, TCS, HUL, Sun Pharma, HDFC Bank, and M&M were among the losers.
Which sectors shined?
Sectorally, PSU banks, PSEs, financial services, pharma, metals, media, realty, and infrastructure were in the green. FMCG and IT were in the red.
Along with large-caps, mid-caps and small-caps remained in the green. The Nifty Midcap 100 index rose 187 points, or 0.31 percent, to 61,003, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index gained 89 points, or 0.53 percent, to 17,752.

Global markets remained bullish. Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Seoul were in the green, while Jakarta was in the red. US markets closed in the green on Tuesday.
Market analysts said the market is ending 2025 on an upward trend, with consolidation facing the market. Strong growth is expected in the coming quarters, which will accelerate economic growth.
Impact of FII selling
FII selling is expected to continue, but DII buying is expected to support the market. The commodity market continues to rise. Gold prices rose 0.35 percent to $4,521 per ounce, and silver prices rose 1.72 percent to $72.35 per ounce.
On the other hand, crude oil prices are also rising. WTI crude prices rose 0.21 percent to $58.50 per barrel, and Brent crude prices rose 0.16 percent to $64.48 per barrel. IANS
