Real estate company Anant Raj Ltd. will invest ₹4,500 crore to build an IT park and data center in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be completed in two phases and will employ approximately 16,000 people. The company is rapidly expanding its IT capabilities.

Real estate company Anant Raj Limited will invest ₹4,500 crore to build a data center in Andhra Pradesh as part of its expansion plans. 

The company said in a government document on Saturday that its subsidiary, Anant Raj Cloud Private Limited, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board to set up an IT park and a new data center in Andhra Pradesh. This is expected to create 16,000 jobs.

The agreement aims to facilitate the timely establishment of data centers and IT parks in the state. Ananth Raj stated that ARCPL will invest approximately ₹4,500 crore, which will be completed in two tranches. 

This investment is expected to generate direct employment for approximately 8,500 people and indirect employment for 7,500 people. The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) will provide necessary support for the project, including coordination and cooperation with the central government. 

APEDB's role will be limited to facilitating and promoting investment in the state. The agreement was signed on Friday in the presence of Nara Lokesh, Minister of IT, Electronics and Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

What the company does

Anant Raj Limited operates 28 MW of IT capacity in Manesar and Panchkula and aims to expand this capacity to 307 MW by 2031-32 in Manesar, Panchkula, and Rai. 

In June 2024, Anant Raj partnered with French IT and telecom company Orange Business to provide cloud services in India. The company says it is on track to achieve an installed IT capacity of 117 MW by fiscal year 2027-28.

Incorporated in 1969, the company has completed approximately 9.96 million square feet of residential and office projects and holds approximately 320 acres of debt-free land in Delhi-NCR. In the first half of FY2025-26, the company reported revenue of ₹1,223.20 crore and a profit after tax of ₹264.08 crore.
