Dr. Neeraj explains that keeping blood pressure under control is essential, whether it's winter or summer. To achieve this, you need to pay special attention to your diet. In winter, you should definitely eat certain foods that help keep your blood pressure under control.

Dr. Neeraj suggests that you should eat spinach during the winter season. Spinach is very beneficial in controlling high blood pressure. Research has also been conducted on this. 

In this study, people were fed 150 grams of spinach daily. This helped control their high blood pressure. Dr. Neeraj explains that spinach is a leafy green that contains a good amount of nitrate, a plant-based compound that can reduce high blood pressure. It also contains antioxidants, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, which can be beneficial for heart health.

Dry fruits

Dried fruits may have beneficial effects on high blood pressure. Dried fruits and these seeds are very beneficial as part of a balanced diet focused on lowering blood pressure.

Eggs

Eggs are not only rich in nutrients, but research also suggests that they are a good way to control high blood pressure. A 2023 study of 2,349 adults in the United States found that eating five or more eggs per week lowered high blood pressure levels by 2.5 mm Hg compared to those who ate less than half a serving of eggs per week. Egg eaters were also significantly less likely to develop long-term high blood pressure.
