India vs South Africa 2025, 1st Test, Day 2 at Eden Gardens: The first Test of the series between India and South Africa is being played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 

India performed exceptionally well on the second day of this Test match. Team India scored 189 runs in their first innings and took a 30-run lead. 

The bowlers then performed a strong performance, taking 7 wickets for just 93 runs in South Africa's second innings. This means their lead currently stands at 63 runs.

South Africa were bowled out for 159 in the first innings.

Speaking of the first day's play, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. However, this move backfired. South Africa struggled to even reach 200 runs, being all out for just 159. 

Forget about a century, no South African batsman scored a century in the first innings. Opener Aiden Markram was the team's most successful batsman, scoring 31 runs. Mulder and Jordzy scored 24 runs each.
