Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 India Launch: Meta and Ray-Ban have jointly launched their new smart glasses, the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) AI, in India. They offer sharper 3K Ultra HD video, twice the battery life, and upgraded Meta AI features.
The new generation also includes ultrawide HDR, a 48-hour power backup case, and fast charging support. The company has also introduced several new styles, limited edition colors, and exciting features like Hindi interaction. Notably, UPI Lite payments will soon be available directly from the glasses.
How much is the price
These smart glasses are priced starting at ₹39,900 and will be available at optical retailers nationwide, including Ray-Ban India.
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 has been launched in popular styles like the Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner. This year's color options include Shiny Cosmic Blue, Shiny Mystic Violet, and Shiny Asteroid Grey.
Meta AI upgrade
Meta AI is now smarter, with the command "Hey Meta" providing instant information, suggestions, and creative prompts. A Conversation Focus feature has also been added, helping you hear clearly even in noisy environments. Furthermore, these glasses offer full Hindi conversation support.
Celebrity AI Voice and UPI Lite Payment Feature
Meta AI recently introduced the Celebrity AI Voice feature, allowing users to converse with Deepika Padukone's AI voice. Several other celebrity voices are also available in the global lineup. Soon, it will also be possible to make UPI Lite payments directly from the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2.
Users can simply look at the QR code and say, "Hey Meta, scan and pay," and the payment will be processed through their WhatsApp-linked bank account. This feature is being introduced to make everyday transactions simpler and faster than ever before.
Better video capture and longer battery life
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 features 3K Ultra HD video capture and Ultrawide HDR support, making videos sharper and more stable than before.
The company claims double the battery life, now lasting up to 8 hours. The glasses fast charge up to 50% in 20 minutes, and the included charging case provides an additional 48 hours of backup. New capture modes like hyperlapse and slow-motion will also be available soon via a software update.
